Family owned and family operated in Nong Kiau
Siew and her husband Did realized their life time dream in 2024: welcoming guests in their own hotel. They both come from a farming family and worked their way up in life. After their college studies, they each worked in high-end hotels in Vientiane. Did became a tour guide and worked in a tourist ticket office in Luang Prabang. The dream was to start a high end boutique hotel in their hometown of Nong Khiaw ( also written as Nong Kiau or Nong Khiauw).  Their 3-star boutique villa has 11 rooms, each with stunning views over the mountains and surrounding nature, and is located right on the banks of the Nam Ou river, in a quiet part of the village,  just a 9 minutes stroll to the center with its shops, bars and restaurants. 
Siew is the manager of the Villa. Both she and her husband speak excellent English. Some of their family members are members of the staff in cooking or housekeeping.

Nong Khiaw is the hub in Northern Laos for outdoor activities and to discover local culture.

A really lovely small-scale family hotel.

The small hotel is run by an incredibly friendly family, with the owner playing an important role. The rooms have balconies and overlook the river. The beds are great, and breakfast offers a good variety.

Perfect stay

Warm welcome, ideal location, terrace with views of the bridge and river, quiet location 10 minutes' walk from the village. Attentive staff. Very good, varied breakfasts, good food. Laundry service. I highly recommend this establishment.

8 wonderful days in paradise.

We spent 8 wonderful days in the newly built Dokchampa River View Villa. It had everything we needed and lived up to high expectations. Located on the Nam Ou river with towering limestone cliffs - both sides - this establishment is blessed with unparalleled scenic beauty. Siew manages the rooms and terrace/ restaurant with such care and professionalism. Speaking excellent English and with a wealth of local knowledge, Siew was able to suggest excursions and places of interest, arrange transfers, boat trips etc. Her small, family team were busy adding finishing touches to the garden and surrounds during our stay. What hard workers! We witnessed the progress in real-time. It’s a gentle few minutes’ walk to the bridge and the centre of Nong Khiaw, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The road’s not tarred yet, but Phet (Siew’s father-in-law) diligently kept dust levels down by wetting the road. Memorable stay, gracious hosts.

Would love to return - for an even longer stay.

Riverside room, patio with amazing views

Very friendly and attentive hosts who also speak excellent English. Tastefully furnished, bottles with drinking water in the room, balcony with a view towards the sunset. Completely quiet at night. Best beds in Laos. Good breakfast.
